Garden to Table Pipeline "Almost Summer" Community Dinner on Friday, June 13

Great turnout to celebrate the growing season with the Garden to Table (G2T) Pipeline this last Friday, June 13, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. We learned more about the food hubs and gardens involved in the project, toured the amazing Ag Pod, and viewed plans and drawings for the upcoming Harding Farm and Greenhouse building!

G2T Pipeline is a circular and sustainable food system that connects proven, community grassroots organizations to combine locally grown, nutrient rich food with available food into prepared meals to be distributed in a community setting to any community resident. 25 gardens participate in the Pipeline along with several supporting local organizations, including Stone Temple Baptist Church, Street Vendors Association, Firehouse Community Arts Center, YMEN, and the North Lawndale Greening Committee.

Dinner took place at the G2T Farm (site of the Ag Pod and forthcoming greenhouse), 1433 S. Harding, a block west of Pulaski.

YMEN received the Golden Shovel Award as the organizations which grew the most produce in 2024. Sustenance for the Soul at Stone Temple Baptist Church received the Golden Spoon Award for delivering the most meals to the community in 2024. Check out our pics!
